Next week we will travel to Heidelberg, Germany, where the annual DjangoCon Europe 2018 conference takes place.
DjangoCon is a conference about the popular Django Framework, which we use extensively at Lab Digital. We love working with it, to be honest. And therefore we decided going to this conference is a great way to learn about the latest!
This is the first time we will join a multi-day conference as a team, and we are looking forward to it! Lab Digital joined as a bronze sponsor for the event as well.
Our Django team will be in Heidelberg during the whole conference (Wednesday until Sunday).
The conference schedule for Wednesday until Friday has been announced recently; we will definitely be learning stuff that we can apply in our projects.
Furthermore, during the weekend there is room for Sprints.
We will be organising a sprint to work on our two favourite modules: Oscar Commerce and Wagtail CMS. We have a long feature wish list for both projects, and hope to shorten it a bit during those two days.
During the sprints we will be working on our wagtail-personalisation module. Also we will work on Oscar Commerce; it currently requires you to install/run the front-end, which is not always needed if you run Oscar as a headless API.
See you there!
